What is one thing NEW that you have learned this year so far in this computer class? It could be as simple as some new shortcut, tip, etc. Write your response in a complete sentence.
I actually just learned about Excel. I had no idea how to use it, or what it was. It's so complicating, but i think it's kind of fun. I like a challenge, and that's exactly what it is. It's so complex and has so many parts to it. I also learned about this website. I have never written blogs before, but i enjoy doing this every morning.

No School.

The unexpected break this week was great. I caught up on a book I've been wanting to read, slept in, and finally made it back to Curves. What did you all do on your 2 day rain holiday?

I enjoyed our 2 day holiday very much. My mom's birthday was Monday. So, Sunday night my friends and I blew up many balloons and decorated a poster and bought a birthday cake for her. That morning we woke her up at 6:30 singing and wishing her a happy birthday. It was so much fun. Of course, we went back to sleep afterwards. =] I also caught up on my tanning during our break. I've been getting a little pale lately. Laken had a game yesterday, which was fun. I'm very excited about only going to school 2 days this week. I can't wait for our 4 day weekend.

Storm

What's the latest? Are you concerned about any weather issues? Do you have relatives or friends that live in FL that are being affected by this storm?

I have many family members that live in Florida. We have called them everyday checking on them. They are having really bad weather, but are doing okay. I watched the weather this morning, and there is a flood warning in Coffee County. I don't think we should've had school today. I almost wrecked on my way to school this morning. I hate driving in the rain.

Future Now

What did you think about the assembly yesterday?
I absolutely loved the assembly we had during 4th block yesterday. I was very excited that we had a chance to miss 4th block, but i also enjoyed the show. I think its great that those people are trying to make a change in people's lives. A lot of young people need to change their lifestyles. I went to watch them again later that night. The later show was even better. I had a lot of fun.

Often CEOs have to be away from the office. The employees still have to be productive. Also, the employees are to take pride in their facilities and environment regardless if the CEO/Manager is there to watch over their shoulder. This didn't happen Monday & Tuesday in C305. Why not?How did the class behave? What did you observe happening? If you know any specifics, please report them to me without naming individual students on your blog.

I wasn't aware of the class misbehaving. I was sick on Tuesday, so I'm not sure if anything happened. Monday seemed to be a pretty good day. We all worked on our Clean Sweep project. The substitute was very nice. Everything went pretty well.

Cheating.

What are your thoughts on cheating?
I think cheating is a sign of weakness. It is a very dishonest thing to do. Your education is one of the most important things throughout life, and if you cheat all the time, its pointless. You haven't really accomplished anything if you cheat. It is also very unfair to others. They work really hard to achieve their goals.

1. What time do you wake up in the morning?
I wake up at 6 every morning.
2. What famous person would you want to be friends with?
I would like to be friends with Brett Favre. I'm pretty much in love with him.
3. Do you prefer gold or silver?
I prefer silver, but i don't mind wearing gold if it's cute.
4. What type of movies do you like?
I like all types of movies. I love a romance. I like to watch sad movies alone, so i can cry as much as i want. =]
5. What was the last movie you saw in theaters? Did you like it?
The last movie I saw in theaters was Pineapple Express. I loved it. It was so funny.
6. What is your favorite T.V. Show?
My favorite T.V. show is definitely The Fresh Prince of Belair. I absolutely love when marathons com on late at night.
7. Do you eat breakfast?
I eat breakfast everyday, usually at Burger King.
8. Who would you hate to spend a day alone with? Why?
I don't think i would hate to spend the day alone with anyone. I get along with most people, and i can always make the day exciting.

I love my personality. I don't think that's being conceited, is it? I think I'm a very outgoing individual.

I really dislike that I am not very artistic. I wish I could create wonderful paintings/drawings. I do have a creative imagination, though.

I definitely love the name Blaine. It's very unique. Not many people have my name. I'm very satisfied.
12. What is your favorite city? Why?
I recently visited California. I stayed in Los Angeles for 2 weeks, and visited Santa Monica, and Hollywood. Santa Monica, by far, was my favorite. It was beautiful. The Santa Monica Pier was amazing.
13. What is your favorite season?.
I don't really have a favorite season. I usually complain a lot during one season because of the weather. When it's summer, i get to hot and can't wait for the winter. When it's winter, i get too cold and can't wait for the summer. So, I guess Spring and Fall are actually my favorites.
14. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
I definitely love chocolate ice cream. Yum. Birthday Cake ice cream from Bruster's is awesome.

I like all colors. Teal is probably my favorite.

I've never really had a favorite car. I'd probably be satisfied with anything.

I love vegetables. I love Green Bean Casserole. That's probably my favorite. I also really like fried squash and zucchini.
19. Describe the perfect friend.
I actually think I have the perfect best friend/friends. Laken Kirkland is my best friend. To me, she's perfect. She has a great sense of humor, which is a plus!
20. Describe the worst kind of enemy.
I've never had an enemy, so i wouldn't know how to describe one. I guess they would be very mean.
21. What is your favorite animal?
I have 7 dogs. I think that explains it.
22. Where do you most want to visit? Where do you want to go when you retire?
I've always wanted to visit Egypt. I plan on visiting the summer before college. When I retire, I would like to visit my family members in Puerto Rico.
23. What is your biggest goal?
Since I'm a senior, my biggest goal would be getting accepted into a really great college.
24. What is your 'catch phrase'? What 'catch phrase' annoys you most?
I definitely say 'Wow' a lot. Me and Laken say 'Ohh Nooo!' so much. It's our little catch phrase.

I am smiling. I smile often. =]

Olympics 2008

What are your thoughts on the Olympics being held in China? Have you been watching the Olympics this week? What effects will the killing of American visitors to the Olympics by a Chinese man have on the US's relationship with China?

I don't think the Olympics should have been held in China. I'm not sure many people were aware of all the things going wrong over there. There have been many protests, which interfere with the games. Also, an American was killed by a Chinese man for no reason. I think the killing of this innocent man will have a huge impact on America's relationship with China. Negative things have been happening since the Olympics began.
I have been watching the Olympics very much lately. I am a big fan of Michael Phelps, one of the American swimmers. He won his third gold medal, and ninth of his career on Tuesday.
